Demands notification of incentives for JK industries announced under GST
regime
SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 28: Federation
Chamber of Industries Kashmir (FCIK) representatives led by President Er.
Mukthar Yousuf today called on Minister for Industries and Commerce Chander
Prakash Ganga.
The FCIK delegation brought several issues facing the Industries to the
attention of the Minister during the meeting. Issues faced post implementation
of the Goods & Services Tax (GST) in the State were also discussed in the
meeting.
The delegation demanded notification of incentives announced for J&K
industries under the GST regime.
Ganga apprised the delegation that the State government is actively
pursuing the matter with the Union Government as well as examining the matter
of SGST refund.
The FCIK delegation also requested earliest shifting of offices of the
Industries & Commerce Department to Sanat Ghar at Bemina.
Issues of identification of more items for purchase through SICOP from
MSMEs and shortage of staff in DICs and Directorate of Industries were also
raised during the meeting.
The Minister assured the delegation of all possible support and also
issued on the spot instructions for redressal of some of the concerns raised
during the meeting.
