KATRA, SEPTEMBER 28: Prabhat
Pheri has emerged as a major event of the ongoing Navratra Festival witnessing
participation of large number of devotees and pilgrims.
On the
occasion of 8th Navratra, the Chief Guest Shiv Kumar Sharma, Joint secretary
J&K sports council and President of J&K Indian style wrestling
Association inaugurated the Prabhat Pheri in presence of several other guests.
The magnificent congregation started from Bus Stand Katra and
passed through Shiv Mandir, Ban Ganga Road, Yog Ashram, Hanuman Mandir, Sheetla
Mata Mandir and culminated back at Bus Stand.
Introduced for the first in the annual Navratra Festival, the Prabhat
Pheri evoked massive response from the local and tourists as all of them cheerfully participated to make this unique event successful.
It is pertinent to mention here that long ago during the yesteryears of
ethnic India, people from villages used to get up early in the morning before
sun rise and take rounds of the village with chanting and singing bhajans.
Bobby and group of Chintamani Mohalla joined the Navratra Festival
Prabhat Pheri and infused more enthusiasm to it as the crowd grew larger. Later,
Senior citizens forum led by Dr. Sukhdev Singh, Mubark Singh and Sunder Sharma
and other members also joined the Prabhat Pheri.

Katra Raj Kumar Padha highlighted the fast growing popularity
of the Prabhat Pheri.
Among others present on the occasion were Shahsi Gupta, Ajay
Sharma,Ramnik Nawada, Tilak Raj, Amit Bamba, Aman Mahajan, Renue Ji Dhar,
Kushal Magotra, Daleep Padha, Munish Kapoor, Raj Kumar Dubey, Rakesh Dubey, Raj
Kumar Menghi, Vimal Sharma, Montu Sharma etc.
