SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 13: The
Government today constituted an eight member Technical Monitoring Committee to
review the implementation of Bovine Breeding Projects in the State.
"Sanction is hereby accorded to the constitution of Technical
Monitoring Committee, comprising the following, to regularly review the
implementation of Bovine Breeding Projects in the State under Central Sector
Scheme "National Programme for Bovine Breeding and Dairy Development"
(NPBBDD), viz. National Programme for Bovine Breeding (NPBB), National Mission
for Bovine Productivity (NMBP) and Rashtriya Gokui Mission (RGM)," an
order issued by the General Administration Department (GAD) said.
To be headed by the Administrative Secretary, Animal/Sheep Husbandry
& Fisheries Department, the members of the Committee include Chairman,
Jammu & Kashmir Milk Producers Cooperative Ltd, Directors, Animal
Husbandry, Jammu/Kashmir, Representative of Department of Animal Husbandry,
Dairying & Fisheries, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmer Welfare, Government
of India, Representative from the Central Herd Registration, Representative of
Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (not below the rank of Special Secretary),
Head of Department, Animal Breeding & Genetics, SKUAST, Jamrnu/Kashmir and
Chief Executive Officer, Livestock Development Board, Jammu/Kashmir.
The Technical Monitoring Committee shall review the component-wise
progress of projects under the Rashtriya - Gokul Mission (NPBB and NMBP), Pashu
Sanjivni, Field Performance Recording, expansion of Artificial Insemination
(AI) Network and establishment of Gokul Gram.
