Sep 22: Former Bihar chief minister and RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav today
attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi over unemployment in the country and on
the issue of GST. Addressing a press conference after appearing before the
special CBI courts here in connection with the multi crore fodder scam case, he
said that unemployment was at an all time high in the country over which the
prime minister needed to give answers. He said that in the tenure of the BJP
farmers were committing suicide, journalists were being killed while owners of
big newspapers have been made a puppet in the hands of the government. He said
that a fear was prevailing in the country. He said that the opposition was
being implicated in false cases so that they can keep their mouths shut. Mr
Prasad said that a conspiracy was being hatched to break the nation. He said
that now BJP has turned its eye on the Santhal Pargana but the tribals of the
region are with the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha. He alleged that honest contractors
were not being paid in Bihar and said that there was no law prevailing in the
state. Mr Yadav said that people were reeling due to the effects of GST. He said
that in Jharkhand the Raghubar Das government has completed 1000 days in power
but the tribals are not getting due respect. He said that during the visit of
BJP’s national president Amit Shah former chief minister Arjun Munda was asked
to sit below the stage. He also demanded the Centre give protection to the
Rohangiya Muslims. UNI
