Delhi, Sept 15: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has saluted engineers on
Engineers' Day and also paid tributes to Bharat Ratna M. Visvesvaraya on his
birth anniversary. 'I salute all engineers on Engineers’ Day and appreciate
their paramount role in the development of our nation,' he said in a message on
the occasion. Paying tributes to M. Visvesvaraya on his birth anniversary, he
described him as an exemplary engineer who was 'a source of immense
inspiration', the message said. The day is dedicated to Sir Mokshagundam
Visvesvaraya, known as Sir MV and his contribution to nation building. It is to
honour his achievements that India celebrates Engineer's Day on his birthday,
