
Varanasi, Sept 19: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a
two-day visit to his parliamentary constituency from September 22 and lay the
foundation and inaugurate several developmental projects and schemes. The PM
would be visiting his constituency six months after the BJP got landslide
victory in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly election in March. Chief Minister Yogi
Adityanath has already reviewed the arrangements for the PM's Varanasi visit on
September 17. Elaborate security would be in place during the visit. The PM is
most likely to call on a group of Muslim women which supported the NDA
government’s stand against 'triple talaq' and offered prayers to Lord Hanuman
on the issue. Officials here today said that the visit will begin on September
22 at around 1500 hrs with the inauguration of the Trade Facilitation Center at
Barlalpur in the weaver dominated belt. The foundation of the centre was done
by the PM three years back. He will also distribute registration certificates
to beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Besides, the PM will lay
the foundation for seven projects at Diesel Locomotive Works (DLW) on September
22 afternoon. Mr Modi will also inaugurate 17 projects, including the Ramnagar-
Samne Ghat bridge, Balua Ghat bridge on the Ganga. He will stay overnight at
the DLW guesthouse where he is likely to meet prominent people of Varanasi to
seek their opinion on various issues. He will inaugurate a big animal fair on
1800 acres of land in Shahanshahpur area here on September 23. After addressing
farmers, he will fly back to New Delhi the same day. UNI
