President Kovind likely to visit Lucknow, Kanpur on Sept 15

Lucknow, Sep 9: President Ramnath Kovind, is likely to pay a day long visit to Lucknow and Kanpur on September 15. This would be his first visit to his home state after becoming the President of the country. Though his main programme will be in Kanpur but the first citizen of the country, would also attend a reception function to be organised in Lucknow in honour of the first President from the state. In his programme in Kanpur, the President is likely to address a Swacchata mission function of the gram pradhans besides could inspect a village. The President is also likely to visit his native Paraukh village in adjoining Kanpur Dehat district besides could go to his Indiranagar colony residence where he stayed before being elected to the post. In Lucknow, the senior officials would be meeting today to chalkout the security and the venue of he felicitation programme of the President. UNI
