Chandigarh,
Sept 28: All India Sikh Students Federation (AISSF) president Manjit Singh
Bhoma and its advisor Sarbjit Singh Jammu today said Sangh Parivar and ABVP has
set the agenda to malign the educational environment of the Indian universities
through communal and Hindutava agenda which is clear from the incidents in
Benaras Hindu University and Central University of Jammu. In a joint statement,
they strongly condemned the police action on peaceful protesting girl students
in Benaras Hindu University and demanded the immediate removal of BHU
vice-chancellor Girish Chandra Tripathi so the fair enquiry can be done. They
said the BHU episode shows the mindset of “Beti Padao-Beti Bachao” slogan of
Prime Minister Narendra Modi. BJP government at the Centre giving only lip
service to every problem. Mr Bhoma and Mr Jammu said every student in the
Indian universities is anti-national who do not follow the Sangh Parivar or
ABVP dictates and ideology and it is the dichotomy of Indian democracy in the
hands of BJP government in the Centre. Now the students from Kerala studying in
Central University Jammu have been branded as anti-national by Sangh Parivar
and ABVP who are not interested in Sangh ideology and demanded non-vegetarian
food in the hostel mess and organized a function to condemned the death of
journalist activist Gouri Lankesh of Bengaluru. The AISSF alerted the central
and J&K governments that ABVP and Sangh might organize Gouri Lankesh type
incident in Central University Campus Samba Jammu under the pretext of
terrorist act. They urged the Modi government and Sangh to desist from giving
free hand to ABVP to malign the Indian Universities educational environment.
