Delhi, Sep 2: Congress president Sonia Gandhi and vice president Rahul
Gandhi today extended good wishes on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha. Ms Gandhi
hoped that this auspicious occasion will usher peace, harmony, equity and the
spirit of sacrifice and giving amongst all. In her message Ms Gandhi said,
"Eid Mubarak’. Eid–ul-Azha is an occasion to remember the spirit of
supreme sacrifice of Hazrat Ibrahim; the festival teaches us to be humble,
charitable and to work for the greater good of humankind," she said.
Eid-ul-Azha or Bakr-Id is being celebrated with religious fervour and gaiety.
Rahul Gandhi tweeted, "Eid Mubarak to everyone. May this day be filled
with blessings and bring peace & prosperity for all". UNI
