Lucknow, Sept 7: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, his two deputies-- Keshav Prasad Maurya and Dinesh Sharma along with State Minister Swantra Deo Singh are all set to get elected unopposed to the state Legislative Council tomorrow. However, the fifth minister Mohsin Raza would be declared elected on September 11. Except for all the 5 BJP candidates, no other nominees have filed their nominations in the bypolls. Returning officer and principal secretary (Assembly) Pradeep Kumar Dubey said here today that the four candidates, including the CM, his two deputies and a state minister, would be declared elected tomorrow at 1500 hrs when the time for withdrawal ends. Yesterday during the scrutiny of nominations, the papers of all the four were found to be in orders. The scrutiny of the fifth seat would be held tomorrow as today is the last date for filing of the nominations. The Chief Minister filed his nominations on the seat left by SP member Yashwant Singh while deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya filed nominations on the seat left by SP member Bhukkal Nawab. The term of both the seats will expire on July 8, 2022. Deputy CM Dinesh Sharma filed his nominations for the seat left by Ashok Bajpai and Mr Singh from the seat left by SP member Sarojni Agarwal. Term of both the seats will expire on January 30, 2021. Mr Raza, the only Muslim minister in the Yogi ministry, filed his nominations from the seat left by BSP member Thakur Jaiveer Singh. But the term of the seat is just for around eight months as it will end on May 5, 2018. As all the seats would have separate elections, hence, BJP and its partners which have two-thirds majority in the Assembly would win all the seats without any contest. Mr Adityanath is presently Lok Sabha member from Gorakhpur and Keshav Prasad Maurya from Phulpur seat in Allahabad. But both are yet to resign from their seats. All the five ministers would have to get elected to either House of the state legislature by September 18 when six months of their tenure as Minister expires after taking oath on March 19. UNI
