Agartala,
Oct 13: In a massive erosion in Left Front’s vote bank, as many as 1669
voters of 514 families in North Tripura have joined BJP last evening when
party’s state president Biplab Kumar Deb was addressing rallies at Jalebasa in
Panisagar and Satnala of Kanchanpur. Deb said the joining of CPI-M supporters
in BJP was pre-scheduled and they were accepted formally in the party. He
accused the LF government in Tripura of poor development. Rubber based
industries, gas based and fruit based industries can be set up in the state
that has opportunity of huge employment. “ These three things are enough to
change the fortune of Tripura. But the leftists do not have any vision rather
they are interested to spend money on construction of buildings because it
helps to swell their party fund. The younger generation of Tripura has become
jobless only because of the government; otherwise, Tripura could have been a
hub for employment,” Deb stated. The new comers of BJP alleged that they have
been with CPI-M for generation together but every time they were cheated by the
leaders and now the families have been in hand to mouth situation due to acute
poverty. UNI
