Jammu,
Oct 31: Lashing out at the
PDP-BJP coalition government in Jammu and Kashmir, mainstream opposition
National Conference on Tuesday demanded appointment of special audit
of the Union
Government to probe utilisation of funds sanctioned by the Centre.
''Enquiry Commission
should be appointed on various workings of the department in the state,''
Devendra Singh Rana, provincial president, National Conference told reporters
here this afternoon.
He said, ''I appeal to
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh to appoint
special audit of Government of India to see where is the money coming from the
Centre in Jammu and Kashmir is going.''
''Is the money really
being utilised properly or filling the coffers of who are in power in Jammu and
Kashmir, is needed to be probed,'' said Mr Rana.
He said, ''Me along
with MLA Bishnah Kamal Arora, have boycott the District Development Board (DDB)
meeting chaired by the Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh because they don't
want to listen to the our issues of concern.''
''Deputy Chief
Minister has failed to serve to the people, who elected them and cause of
Jammu. BJP has failed on all fronts and now they are forcing government
officers to be card holders of BJP but we will not allow them,'' said Mr Rana.
He however, said
administration has to be neutral and added, ''we will become voice of Jammu and
expose the wrongdoings of the government and every department.''
Mr Rana said,
''officers cannot be champions and pracharaks of the BJP,'' adding, ''they
(BJP) want to suppress the voice of opposition. They have become intolerant
because they are inefficient and corrupt.''
