New Delhi, Oct 24: Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani met his Indian counterpart Ram Nath Kovind here at Rashtrapati Bhavan here on Tuesday. Mr Ghani is in Indian capital on the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. National Security Adviser Ajit Doval had visited Kabul on October 16 and had extended the invitation on behalf of PM Modi. "The visit will build upon the recent high level bilateral exchanges between the two countries, including the recent visits of Dr Abdullah Abdullah, Chief Executive of Afghanistan on September 27-29 and that of the Foreign Minister of Afghanistan Salahuddin Rabbani on September 10-11," a MEA statement said here. Mr Ghani will hold a delegation level talks with Prime Minister Modi. The visiting Afghan President will also address a talk at the Vivekananda International Foundation here later in the afternoon.
