Oct 30: Air Marshal R K S Bhadauria, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief
(AOC-in-C) Southern Air Command, Indian Air Force visited the Air Force Station
Thanjavur, a premier base under Southern Air Command today. He was received by
Group Captain VJ Singh, Station Commander, Air Force Station Thanjavur. During
his visit, the AOC-in-C inaugurated the two-day ‘Station Master Warrant
Officers’ Conference’. In his inaugural address, he highlighted the pivotal
role played by the Station Master Warrant Officers in functioning of any Air
Force station. The Station Master Warrant Officers were an important interface
between the organisation and all personnel of the station and were instrumental
in promotion of efficiency and a harmonious environment. The AOC-in-C inspected
various sections and units at the Air Force Station and reviewed the
operational preparedness of the base. He was apprised on the progress of
various projects and works service towards developing the Air Force Station as
one of the premier fighter air bases in the southern region. During his
interaction with the personnel, Air Marshal Bhadauria emphasized the need for
optimum utilisation of professional and operational competence, training, key
