SSB jawan arrested at Bagdogra airport

Siliguri, Oct 30: An SSB jawan on way to home in Rajasthan has been arrested for possessing 60 bullets of automatic gun, minutes before boarding a private aircraft at the Bagdogra airport in West Bengal, airport director Rakeshranjan Sahay said today. Sashastra Seema Bal's jawan Ravinder was caught with live bullets while trying to board onto Go Air aircraft, bound for New Delhi on Sunday evening. The officials of Go Air caught Ravinder during security check and later handed over to Bagdogra police for further probe and production into the court of law. The arrested SSB jawan was posted at Katihar of 12 Battalion was proceeding home on vacation. Police said they would produce the arrested jawan before a court today. Investigations are on to find from where he sourced so many bullets of automatic gun without any authorised document. UNI
