Srinagar, Oct 3: All the three militants and a Border Security Force (BSF) jawan were killed and three security personnel were injured in over 10-hour-long fierce encounter during a fidayeen attack on Border Security Force (BSF) camp near Srinagar International Airport, where air traffic resumed after all morning flights were suspended. The operation is over, Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kashmir Range, Munir Ahmad Khan announced at a press conference here this afternoon. There are still six to seven more militants who have infiltrated from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK) in July this year in Jammu region to carry out such fidayeen attacks in Jammu and Kashmir, he said. 'We are after them and hope to get them soon,' he said. Such incidents have taken place in the past and will continue in future as our neighbour is Pakistan,' he said. However, he lauded the BSF troops for repulsing the attack and preventing major damage by militants. UNI
