Sydney,
Oct 27: An Australian court ruled on Friday that the Deputy Prime Minister
Barnaby Joyce was ineligible to sit in Parliament as he held dual citizenship
when elected. The High Court ruling has threatened the government´s slim
majority, the media reports here said. Barnaby Joyce was among seven
politicians embroiled in a crisis after falling afoul of a previously obscure
constitutional rule that bars dual citizens from sitting in Parliament. As a
result of the High Court decision, the government will lose its one-seat
majority in the House of Representatives. UNI
