Hyderabad, Oct 5: Union Minister for Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Thursday said his Government was strongly committed for uplift and welfare of the poor and the Centre has approved about Rs 9.13 crore loans under Mudra Yojna launched on April 8, 2015. Addressing the “Pradhanmantri Mudra Yojna” promotion camp here, Mr Naqvi said about 76 per cent women were benefited of Mudra Yojna and more than 55 per cent beneficiaries are from SC, ST, OBC and minorities segments. Today each and every country of the world are recognising India as an emerging economic power, the Minister said and added that India has become one of the safest and strongest destination for investment. Mr Naqvi added that during the last three years, the NDA led-BJP Government has moved forward towards strengthening the Indian economy. Growth rate has been above 7 per cent during the last three years. He said “demonetisation” has started giving results. Direct Benefit Transfer has ensured transparency, as money has been given directly into the bank accounts of needy. Explaining the people about “Mudra Yojna” and various other schemes such as “Start Up India”, “Stand Up India”, he said that under the “Mudra” scheme, loan is being given in various category- Up to Rs 50,000 in “Shishu Category”; from Rs 50,000 to Rs 5 lakh under “Kishor Category” and from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh under “Tarun Category”.
