Dalai Lama arrives at Imphal

Imphal, Oct 17: His Holiness Dalai Lama arrived here today amid tight security. Dalai Lama will be holding a series of meetings here tomorrow at City Convention Centre. Buddhists from all over the country and neighbouring Myanmar have also arrived for the convention. Speaker of Manipur Legislative Assembly Yumnam Khemchand had requested Dalai Lama to visit Manipur. Special security arrangements were taken up for the visit of the Tibetan spiritual leader. Arrangements were made for the stay of Dalai Lama at the Raj Bhawan. UNI
