DIC Samba organizes Dogri Mushaira

SAMBA, OCTOBER 14: District Information Centre, Samba organized Dogri Mushiaras here at Govt Hr Sec School Gho Brahmana and Govt Middle School Gadwal of Vijaypur.

 Renowned and young poets recited their poems highlighting social issues and importance of conserving Culture and Language.

The poets Ajit pal Sharma, Ajay Slathia , Naresh Kumar ,Basakhi Ram, Satya Paul Gadwalia , Neelam Gandotra , Sat paul , Jasbir Kumar and Surjeet Kumar presented their poetry with great perfection and won great applause from the audience. They stressed on standardizing the language and promoting its use as it has also been given due official recognition in the eighth schedule of the Indian Constitution.

The literary events were organised with the objective of providing stage to local poets and to promote the local language. 

The poetry recitation was followed by a healthy interaction among young poets with senior counterparts.   

The poets appreciated the initiative of the department and said that more such programmes should be organized in near future to promote local languages. 

 Principal Govt Hr Sec School Gho Brahmana, Ram Swaroop Sharma, Head Master Govt High School Gadwal, Neelam Kumari Sr. Cultural Assistant Balbir Singh, school staff and prominent citizens were present in these programmes.
