KISHTWAR OCTOBER 30: The “Five Days ICT Based Training Programme”under
Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya National Mission for Teachers and Teaching (PMMMNMT)
organised by Central University Jammu at Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School,
Kishtwar concluded with active participation of the stakeholders.
The
programme was well organised and successfully Co-ordinated by Dr Parmod Kumar,
Assistant Professor, Department of Educational Studies, Central University of
Jammu. There were 15 sessions (three sessions each in a day) of this five day
training programme. The training programme mainly focused on ICT
& its Tools, Basics of Computer, MS-Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet,
Smart Board and Uses of e-resources in teaching-learning process etc.
Minister of State for
Transport (Independent Charge), Revenue, Public works (Road & Building),
Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, Agricultural Production, Sunil Kumar
Sharma, in his online address highlighted the significant role of ICT in the
present Indian context for professional development of teachers and said that
such training programmes for
school teachers of district Kishtwar is a good initiative by Central
University of Jammu.
Prof Ashok Aima, Vice
Chancellor, Central University of Jammu in his online address appreciated the
efforts of the Department of Educational studies for conducting this training
programme at district level which directly helps in enhancing the capacity of
teachers in the area of ICT and assured that department will organize more
capacity building programmes in the subjects of languages, mathematics,
science, social sciences for school teachers at district level. He also
expressed the vision and mission of the Central University of Jammu to improve
the standard and quality of school education in Jammu and Kashmir State under
prestige PMMMNMTT scheme.
Abrar Ahmed Choudhary, SSP,
Kishtwar, who was the Chief Guest on the velidictory function highlighted the
importance of PMMNMMTT scheme, origin of ICT term, significance & importance
of ICT in teaching-learning process/office work and capacity building of
teachers.
Prof Lokesh K. Verma, Dean and Head,
Department of Education, Central University of Jammu appreciated the
participants for their support, enthusiasm and cooperation to make the
programme successful.
Prof.
Renu Nanda, Head, Department of Education, University of Jammu was the key
speaker in the valedictory function.
Besides Ajit Kumar Sharma, CEO,
Kishtwar, in his speech highlighted the importance of this training programme for ZEOs and
Teachers and also conved gratitude to Central University of Jammu
for organizing this training programme in very effective way. Dr Parmod Kumar,
Programme Co-ordinator read out the detailed report of the five days ICT based
training programme.
The
participants expressed their views that such training programme should take
place at regular interval of time.
Later the Chief
Guest, distributed the certificates amomg the participants. Kishor Kumar,
Principal, Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School, Kishtwar was also present on
the occasion. Dr Asit Mantry, Assistant Professor, Department of Education, Central University
