ICDS project Singhpora, Pattan jointly celebrate Beti Bachao Beti Padao week

BARAMULLA, OCTOBER 13: In connection with celebration of Save Girl Child under the programme Beti Bachao Beti Padhao banner several programmes were jointly conducted by ICDS project Singpora and Pattan in Baramulla.

The Rallies were taken under the close supervision of the concerned Project Officers of the concerned ICDS projects. The rallies went around different markets of the towns to create awareness among the general public about the theme of the programme. The project officers addressed the participants of the rallies at Singpora and Pattan.

At Singpora a rally was taken by the ICDS Project under the close supervision of the Project officer, ICDS Project Singpora Ms Mehmooda Mansoor in which number of Supervisors, Helpers and AWWs participated. The participants were holding the banners, placards with slogans for creating awareness among general public about the importance of well being of girl child.  The project officer said the responsibility to provide a conducive and protective, progressive atmosphere to the girl child rests first with the family, especially women and then with the rest of the society. She also highlighted the path-breaking female welfare schemes and policies initiated by government in this regard.
