| Judicial team takes stock of facilities |
JAMMU, OCTOBER 21: Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey - Chairman, Juvenile
Justice Committee of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court along with Justice M K
Hanjura today visited Observation Home, Children’s Home and
Nari Niketan at R S Pura to take stock of facilities being provided to the
inmates there.
Speaking on the occasion, Justice Magrey said that the team evaluated
the provisions and facilities being extended to the inmates are in accordance
to the set rules and norms.
He further said that steps are being taken to rehabilitate the juveniles
at the correctional facility, some of whom belong to other states and countries
like Nepal and Bangladesh.
Pertinently, among 09 juvenile inmates at the Home, 03 are children from
PoK while 01 is from Bangladesh.
PO ICDS Jammu, Jyoti Slathia besides other senior officers of Social
Welfare Department were present on the occasion.
