SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 28:
Vice-Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Projects Construction Company (JKPCC),
Sheikh Khalid Jehangir, who is presently in the United States of America in
connection with a prestigious fellowship ‘Diplomacy and Outreach’ met Indian
diaspora and others during the past fortnight.
Jehangir during his one-month ongoing visit discussed overall situation
in South Asia particularly in India, including issues confronting Jammu and
Kashmir vis-à-vis infiltration on borders with the members of the diaspora and top
American dignitaries and policymakers.
He was also invited by the Indian embassy in the United States to
attend the conference on Deendayal Uphday where he met diplomats and senators
also.
The Vice Chairman during his ongoing visit travelled to California, San Francisco, Washington DC, Pittsburgh, Colorado, and New York where he met business leaders and media personalities as well.

Jehangir is the first Kashmiri who was invited by the South East Asia
Center, USA for a fellowship. He has studied how American Government, and
societies, are responding to a wide range of international issues like
terrorism, violent extremism, radicalization, poverty, healthcare and
education.
