Kolkata, Oct 16: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today dashed off letters to Prime Minister Narenda Modi and Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, requesting them not to withdraw para-military forces from trouble-torn Darjeeling. Ms Banerjee told reporters after presiding the third all party meeting on Darjeeling issues that if the situation on strategic area went beyond control, the Centre must be held responsible. " I believe it is the BJP taking all the decisions and not the Union Government regarding unilateral withdrawal of seven companies of CRPF when the situation was returning to normal in the hills, " she stated. " Darjeeling is an integral part of West Bengal and we all should strive to save it with restoration of normalcy, peace and development to bring the people into the mainstream, " Ms Banerjee said. She accused the BJP of playing power politics to divide the state just to get a seat (Lok Sabha).  UNI
