JAMMU, OCTOBER 04: Two-day
workshop organised by Rural Road Development Agency, Jammu in collaboration
with National Rural Road Development Agency (NRRDA) for State Quality Monitors
for better quality monitoring of works under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) concluded here today.
Director, NRRDA Uttam Kumar and Chief Engineer, PMGSY S.P Manhas,
Superintending Engineers, State Quality Coordinators, State Quality Monitors of
J&K Project Implementing Units and engineers of PMGSY participated in the
workshop
The experts from NRRDA informed the engineers about various aspects of “Construction
and Quality Assurance and Monitoring System” and provided hands-on training to
the functionaries associated with the implementation of PMGSY scheme in the
state.
Experts from NRRDA held an interactive session with the participants and
gave valuable suggestions for better implementation of the scheme. They also
carried out field visits in which various tests pertaining to quality assurance
and monitoring were demonstrated.
