Singh Rana today chaired a meeting to review the functioning of PDD, PHE,
Irrigation and Flood Control department.
CPO Yasir Balwan, XEN PHE Waheed Zargar, AEEs, AEs, Junior Engineers and
other field staff of the department were present in the meeting.
While talking a review of the status of some major schemes like Naigad
Multipurpose project under execution in Kishtwar, DDC directed the department
to expedite the work and complete it by the end of 2018.
DDC emphasized upon the department to remove bottlenecks causing hurdles
in developmental works. He exhorted upon the JEs and other field functionaries
to visit the field regularly and keep a check on the quality and pace of
ongoing works.
Later DDC chaired a meeting of EM&RE department and took stock of
the functioning of the department which was attended by XEN PDD, AEEs, JEs and
other field functionaries of the department.
During the meeting various problems like overloading, damaged
transformers and wires in the winter zone area were raised by the department.
DDC asked for constituting committees on village level in this regard which
would monitor the electricity load and other problems in the village and keep
the department regularly informed.
