SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 31: District
Administration Srinagar today issued magisterial orders imposing prohibitory
restrictions under Section 144 CrPc within a radius of 200 meters around
examination centres of the district for smooth conduct of annual regular
secondary and higher secondary school examinations.
It was said that the move is aimed at to ensure free and fair conduct of
the exams and shall remain in force till the examination is over. However, examinees, supervisory staff, and security personnel deployed
for conducting the examinations shall be exempted from the operation of the
orders.
Tehsildars North, South, Shalteng, Khanyar and Eidgah and concerned Naib
Tehsildars have been designated as magistrates and checking squads respectively
to ensure smooth conduct of the exams in their respective jurisdictions.
