GANDERBAL, OCTOBER 07: Commissioner Secretary Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) Department, Shafiq Ahmad Raina accompanied by Director FCS&CA, Nissar Ahmad today reviewed the working of the Department in a meeting convened at DC office Ganderbal.
Threadbare discussions were held on various issues including stock and
supply position of FCS&CA food grains, distribution of ration tickets,
Aadhaar seeding and functioning of the Department in the district.
The Assistant Director FCS&CA, Ganderbal apprised the meeting about
performance of the Department in district.
On the occasion, the Commissioner Secretary said that measures are afoot
to ensure greater transparency and effectiveness in the functioning of the
Department.
He directed the Assistant Director to rationalize the scale of distribution
of ration and k.oil and to maintain uniform scale of ration per family
throughout the district.
He asked the A.D food to ensure 100 percent linkage of Aadhaar numbers
with respective ration cards.
The Director FCS&CA said that welfare of the consumers is the core
policy of the Department. In this regard, he directed for distribution of
ration cards on fast track basis, and asked the concerned A.D and TSO’s to
monitor the process. Besides, he called for intensifying market checking on
regular basis for preventing food adulteration, profiteering and black
marketing.
Chief Inspector Ganderbal, all
TSO’s, and other concerned officials of FCS&CA Department Ganderbal
attended the meeting.
