RAJOURI, OCTOBER 30 - As part
of ongoing Special Summary Revision, the district administration today organized
an additional special camp for enrollment, addition, deletion and transposition
of voters in electoral rolls with January 1, 2018 as
qualifying date.
A record number of 629 applications were received
for addition with total 1,335 forms received under addition, deletion,
correction and transposition.
The camp received great response as result of various awareness
initiatives taken by district administration under Systematic Voters' Education
and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) programme under supervision of District
Election Officer Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary.
Deputy District Election Officer Shrikant Suse, Election Registration
Officers, Assistant Election Registration Officers, Election Naib Tehsildar
inspected various polling stations across district for performance review of
BLOs and issued necessary corrective directions to BLOs to maximize
registration.
Shrikant Suse also informed that special drive of house to house visit
by Booth Level Officers will be carried out fromNovember 15 to 30 to maximize
registration of eligible voters and improvement of fidelity of electoral rolls.
