Oct 12: The SSB guarding India's border with Bhutan has apprehended a
poacher, indentified as Gopal Tamang- and seized two pieces of horns of Deer
from Mangalbari under Jaigaon block of Alipurduar district. On a tip off, the
SSB of 53 Battalion of Shimlabari in a joint operation with the forest
officials seized two horns of Deer weighing 2 kgs from Manglabari (Jaigaon) and
apprehended Gopal Thapa of Jaigaon around last night, CO Arvind Kumar said
today. The apprehended person with seized items handed over to Forest Range
office Hamiltonganj, added Mr Kumar. UNI
