Oct 23: Tripura CPI-M will hold ‘Padayatra’ across all the 60 assembly
constituencies covering each and every booth in next month as a mark of protest
against the Modi government and the alleged communal politics of BJP in the
country violating constitutional mandates. The CPI-M state secretary Bijan Dhar
said that the party state committee had finalized a series of programmes and
urged all the committees of CPI-M to observe 100th anniversary of ‘November
Biplab’ on November 07 next, across the state. The leaders also appealed all
the unions and organizations to stage various programmes spreading awareness
against the rise of divisive politics and separation of people’s unity in
Tripura, he said adding that BJP constitutes attack on CPI-M offices across the
country. He stated that the saffron party is making every attempt to provoke
the people against the long regime of CPI-M led Left Front government in
Tripura and such attempt should be suppressed. Dhar claimed when the BJP led
government at the Centre is reducing the job opportunities, Left Front
government in Tripura has employed 82,363 youths in Tripura in last 20 years.
He also said, Tripura incurred loss of Rs 4,188 crore in 2015-16, 2016-17 and
2017-18 financial years for dissolution of Planning Commission and gradually
the central government stopped funding to committed projects including MGNREGA.
In the Padayatra, the party will campaign against the anti-people stand of the
Modi government and the communal politics of BJP. UNI
