SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 25: Er. Nazir
Ahmad Yatoo, Vice Chairman J&K Cements Ltd. called on Governor N.N. Vohra
at the Raj Bhavan here today.
Er. Yatoo informed the Governor that, as advised by the latter in their
last meeting, Membrane Bags procured from Germany have been installed to curb
the high air pollution prevailing in the Khrew area, and this initiative is
expected to reduce the air pollution by almost 70 % in the next 5 days. Er. Yatoo
also informed Governor about the initiatives being taken for making J&K
Cements a profitable enterprise which would generate employment for qualified
youth.
Governor advised Er. Yatoo to ensure that the Company follows the
mandatory provision of holding its AGM every year and within the prescribed
timelines. Further, the Company must also enhance its productivity to
increasingly meet the cement requirements of J&K, maintain quality of its
products and fulfill its social responsibility mandate in a transparent and
accountable manner.
