Srinagar, Nov 21: As many as 1.57 lakh children, below the age of 5 years, will be vaccinated at 858 booths under the first round of Intensive Pulse Polio Immunization (IPPI) on January 28 in north Kashmir district of Baramulla.
      Officials said that out under the Round-1 of IPPI Programme in the district, all the children below the age of 5 years were covered on January 28. 
      “As many as 1,57,326 children will be immunized across district Baramulla at 858 Vaccination Booths that have been setup across the ten blocks of the district,” they said. 
      They said 1716 teams consisting of 3423 team members including Health workers, ASHA workers, Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) workers and teachers will be deployed across the district.
      “Transit Camps for railway stations and Bus stands and mobile teams have also been constituted for the purpose,” they said, adding Masjid committees will be involved for the purpose of announcements regarding the pulse polio campaign. UNI
