Amaravati, Nov 28: External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has consented to set up External Affairs office "Videsh Bhavan" in Amaravati.
Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu disclosed this while addressing a meeting after inaugurating VIT University, Amaravati campus, at Inavolu village here on Tuesday. 
The Vice President said that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu met him at his residence in New Delhi recently. The Chief Minister sought his help for the establishment Videsh Bhavan in Amaravati. 
Mr Naidu discussed the matter with External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, who agreed to the proposal for the establishment of "Videsh Bhavan" in Amaravati. The is the second Videsh Bhavan to come up in the country as the first one was set up in Mumbai in August last. 
The Chief Minister allocated five acres of land for the construction of "Videsh Bhavan" in Amaravati, the Vice President informed. The "Videsh Bhavan", if established, integrates all offices under the Ministry of External Affairs, which would help in speeding up process of documents of foreign travellers. The Videsh Bhavan would comprise Major offices like MEA and RPO, Mr Chandrababu Naidu said. UNI
