Ahmedabad, Nov 29: The BJP can stoop to any level for winning the Gujarat Assembly elections, said
Congress Communication Department Convenor Priyanka Chaturvedi after an alleged
audio clip of Chief Minister Vijay Rupani went viral on the social media
platforms including Whatsapp, in which he asks an independent candidate to
withdraw himself from contesting the election.
Talking to UNI, Ms Chaturvedi said, “The BJP has conceived
defeat and that is why they have stooped so low. They know they cannot win but
attempting desperate move to win this election.”
The Congress leader also accused the ruling dispensation for misruling the state for the past 22 years and said her party will take Gujarat on growth trajectory.
“For the past 22 years, the BJP people have not done anything for the citizens, except their friends. We are asking them to come and debate with us as what they have done for the development of Gujarat,” said Ms Chaturvedi.
The forthcoming polls have emerged as crucial one as the BJP wants to retain its winning streak and the Congress would like to revive itself after being out of power for 22 years in the state.
For BJP, this election is more crucial since both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and party President Amit Shah belong to the same state. UNI
