POONCH, NOVEMBER
22: District Development Commissioner Tariq, Ahmad Zargar, today paid a
surprise visit to Boys Gujjar & Bakarwal Hostel Poonch and reviewed
its functioning.
He interacted with
the students and took stock of the facilities being provided to them. DDC
expressed displeasure over lack of sanitation in the hostel
and directed the concerned to ensure proper cleanliness and better
facilities to the students .
He also inspected
the functioning of hostel mess and directed the hostel administration for
maintaining cleanliness in mess besides serving proper diet to inmates
Hostel Warden
apprised the DDC about various issues for improving the
facilities in the hostel.
Keeping in view
deplorable conditions of some parts of hostel building DDC directed Xen PWD for
submitting estimates for upkeep of the building.
Later, DDC also
visited Degree College Poonch and inspected major works including
work of College Auditorium and Examination Hall. He directed the
executing agency to complete the works in time bound manner so that better
facilities are provided to the students.
Similar
instructions were issued to Executive Engineer PWD while inspecting ongoing
works of 100 bedded Girls Hostel at Kamsar and checking of Middle School
Kamsar's building.
He impressed upon
the executing agency to maintain quality of works besides completion of works
in fixed timelines

PWD and AEE accompanied the DDC during his visits.
