Srinagar, Nov 3: Two soldiers and a militant of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) were killed in a fierce encounter in south Kashmir district of Pulwama, where authorities suspended internet service since Thursday evening.
       The operation has ended as two other militants, trapped in the area, have managed to escape under the cover of darkness.
        Official sources told UNI that on a specific information about presence of militants at Sambora, Awantipora in Pulwama, a joint search operation was launched by 50 Rashtriya Rifles (RR), Special Operations Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police and 110 battalion of CRPF in the area 
Thursday evening.
       However, when security forces were moving towards a particular area, militants hiding there, fired at them with automatic weapons.
        They said the security forces also retaliated, ensuing in an encounter in which two soldiers were injured.
         Both the soldiers later succumbed, police said adding a militant of JeM identified as Badar was also killed. 
  Two more militants trapped in the area have managed to escape under the cover of darkness, sources said adding the operation has ended.
The foreign militant was involved in a number of cases in south Kashmir, where militants killed a BJP leader and attacked a CRPF vehicle in which six personnel were injured yesterday. UNI
