RAJOURI, NOVEMBER 13: Managing Director J&K Police Housing Corporation, Danesh Rana and District Development Commissioner Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary today reviewed the progress on ongoing construction work on General Nursing and Midwifery School at Old Hospital Complex and directed for time bound completion of the vital project.
It was informed that the mega project which was targeted for completion within next one and a half year is coming up at an estimated cost of Rs 5 crore, of which, Rs. 3.37 crore have already been released to the executing agency.
Pertinently, GNM School comprising lecture rooms, labs, hostel, dining hall etc, will act as a model training center for general nurses and Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs).
Responding to the issue of non availability of construction material, hampering timely execution of the project, MD J&K PHC directed the executive engineer to ensure that the necessary material is provided to the contractor at the earliest so that work could be carried out on war footing.
The progress of work on ANMT (Ancillary Medical Training) School Thana Mandi, being constructed at an estimated cost of Rs. 2.5 crore was also reviewed and necessary instructions were passed for expediting the work besides ensuring quality.
CPO Abdul Hamid, Executive Engineer J&K PHC A N Kundal, and other concerned officers were present on the occasion.
