Srinagar, Nov 22: Moderate Hurriyat Conference (HC) chairman Mirwaiz Moulvi Omar Farooq was on Wednesdayreleased after remaining under house arrest for four days while there was no relief for hardline HC chief Syed Ali Shah Geelani.
         “The Mirwaiz was released and security forces and state police personnel deployed outside his Nigeen house withdrawn after four days,” a HC spokesperson told UNI.
         Mirwaiz later went to the shrine of Hazrat Khawja Naqshband at Khawaja Bazar and addressed a religious gathering after afternoon prayers. 
         Meanwhile, thousands of people assembled at the shrine and offered ‘Khawja Digar’, the centuries old practice of offering congregational Asr (post noon prayers) at the shrine on third Rabi-ul-Awal. 
         A spokesperson of hardline HC said that Geelani remained under house arrest from last over one-and-a-half years at his Hyderpora house in the uptown. UNI
