No transfers in School Education Deptt outside Transfer Policy: Secy Education

JAMMU, NOVEMBER 06: The Education Department has asked the provincial Directors of School Education and the Chief Education Officers not to affect any transfers without the approval of the Competent Authority.

“It is enjoined upon the Directors of School Education Jammu/Kashmir and all the Chief Education Officers not to affect any transfers of Teachers, Masters and Lecturers within their respective provinces, districts and zones in any case on any ground henceforth at their own level without the prior approval of the competent authority,” an order issued here today by the Secretary Education, Farooq Ahmad Shah said.

It said that all such individual cases of transfers and postings which require consideration should be taken care of only at the time of effecting general transfers as per the transfer policy in vogue.

“In respect of the requests of transfers made on specific grounds like security, health or marriage, a separate mechanism is under consideration of the School Education Department and will be notified shortly,” the order said adding that till then all such cases should be put on hold.
