Reacting to a survey stating that Indians’ approval of Mr Modi and their satisfaction with both the country’s direction and the state of its economy have grown in recent years, Mr Abdullah said that the survey was done between February and March 2017 and much could have changed. “Could very well still be true but we know a week is a long time in politics & this survey was done between Feb & March ‘17. Much could have changed!,” Mr Abdullah, who is the working president of National Conference (NC), wrote on micro-blogging site twitter. “That said I don’t need a survey to tell me what most would admit - PM is the most popular leader in India at the moment however Economy has cost him,” he added.UNI
