Property worth crores destroyed in fire in south Kashmir

Srinagar, Nov 20: Property worth crores of rupees has been damaged in a devastating fire in the commercial hub in south Kashmir district of Anantnag early Monday morning, official sources said.
  They said fire broke out in major commercial hub Cheni Chowk and Reshi Bazar in Anantnag, about 55 km from here in Anantnag district at 0200 hrs. About a dozen tenders were rushed from different parts of the district to control the leaping flames, clearly visible from a distance.
      More than a dozen buildings and shops were damaged in the fire which was brought under control after about four hours.
      The cause of fire was not immediately known, they said adding exact loss was being ascertained. UNI
