REASI, NOVEMBER 20: Joint
Secretary in Union Rural Development Ministry, Aparajita Sarangi today
conducted extensive tour of three blocks of Reasi and inspected various
development works under MGNREGA and other schemes of Rural Development Department.
The Joint Secretary was accompanied by Commissioner Secretary Nirmal
Sharma, Additional Secretary Rakesh Badyal, ADDC Ramesh Chander, Assistant
Commissioner Development M.Y. Malik, Executive Engineer REW, Block Development
Officers and other concerned officers.
During her tour, she also met local people and sought theirfeedback on the
implementation of various schemes and programmes of rural development
department in the district.
The Joint Secretary visited blocks Panthal, Katra and Reasi where
she inspected the development works of vermin compost, CFC building, foot
bridges, lanes and drains, ponds, PanchyatGhar, culverts and other projects.
Later, she also convened meeting of officers at Reasi in which detailed
review of component-wise works and schemes was taken. She also enquired about
the status of works in other blocks of the district and said that BDOs should
come up with innovative ideas for launching area specific developmental works
in the villages.
Lauding the efforts of the department, she said that good quality of
works has been done in three blocks of Reasi district. She also ensured that
the matter of pending liabilities will be redressed at an earliest. She further
exhorted upon the officers to work with full dedication and proactive approach.
