13: To review the settlement process under Digital India Land Records
Modernization Programme (DILRMP) and status of land records MohdHanief Malik,
Regional Director Survey & Land Records (Ex-Officio Settlement Officer)
Chenab Valley Doda convened a meeting here today .
ACR Kishtwar, Mohd Syed Khan, Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars and other
officials of the revenue department were present on the occasion.
While speaking on the occasion, Director apprised the participants about
the importance of digitization of the revenue records in the state and said
that the project envisages transparency and clarity in the title of the land
holders ultimately minimizing the land disputes and litigations. The
biggest achievement after completion of this project would be that the
public will be able to have an access to revenue record in a hassle free manner
.
Regional Director also inspected the record room at District Headquarter
Kishtwar and directed the concerned officers to constitute a
committee headed by a Naib Tehsildar for page numbering and arranging in
sequence all the old record lying in each tehsil for its scanning .He directed
to complete the exercisewithin thirty days time.
Progress with regard to writing of jamabandicharsalla and girdawaries was also
reviewed and all the tehsildars were directed to complete the jamma
bandies and girdawaries as per targets without any fail and it was warned that
any laxity on the part of concerned officers shall invite disciplinary action
against them. Besides Tehsildars were also directed to identify 05 marlas of
land for construction of patwarkhannas at the earliest.
