Kolkata, Nov 21: Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is currently visiting North Bengal.
She reached Bagdogra last evening. Today, she would be
holding an all-party meeting at Pintail village, near Siliguri.
She would also be holding the administrative review meetings for three districts of north Bengal at Uttarkanya, the secretariat for north Bengal, in Siliguri. This would be the fourth all-party meeting in the last few months. As a result of the first meeting itself, peace had returned to the Hills; the 104-day strike had come to an end. The State Government had announced two multi-crore packages for the affected region – a Rs 500-crore package, followed by a Rs 174-crore one. All the developmental work which had stopped are happening in full swing now. UNI
