SRINAGAR, NOVEMBER 03: Minister
of State for Health and Medical Education, Asiea Naqash yesterday evening
visited Lal Ded (LD) hospital to review the facilities being provided to
patients there.
The Minister went around the hospital premises to inspect the
patient-care facilities like drug supply, blood facilities, electricity back-up
etc and the condition of sanitation in and around the hospital.
The concerned Medical Superintendent while briefing the Minister said
that the hospital administration engages men & machinery round-the-clock
basis for better sanitation. She stressed
the need for proper cleanliness in and around the hospital.
Due to drop in temperatures during night, Minister directed concerned
officials to provide adequate heating arrangements in the hospital round the
clock.
Asiea
interacted with the patients and enquired about the facilities being provided
to them by the hospital authorities.
The
Minister impressed upon the hospital administrations and doctors to work with
dedication to serve the patients in a professional manner.
On the occasion, officers informed the Minister that work on the L D
Sarai (Shelter Home for Attendants) being constructed at an estimated cost of
Rs 7.16 crore is currently under execution. She was further informed that the
building has 60 rooms and will fulfill a long-pending demand of attendants for
shelter.
She reiterated the Government’s resolve to provide better
healthcare facilities to the people so that common people don’t suffer
for want of better Medicare facilities.
