POONCH NOVEMBER 08: To give
people a feel of good governance at their doorsteps specially in the far off
and border areas, Deputy Commissioner Poonch Tariq Ahmad Zargar today conducted a public
grievances redress camp here at Balakote.
The DC was accompanied by SDM Mendhar, Executive engineers of PWD,
PHE,PDD besides district & sectoral officers .
A large number of local people and those from adjoining villages projected their issues and sought resolution in a time bound
manner.
They sought correction in ration cards, provision for Aadhar enrollment,
resumption of works on high School Sayoon, completion of pending works of
Dharatii's schools buildings under RAMSA, completion of pending works on 5km
sanctioned roads from Dargloon to Sandote & Bashoni
to Baruti.
They also
demanded upgrading of power infrastructure, repair &
installation of new transformers, augmentation of water supply, adequate number of passenger vehicles, special camp under PSGA &
police Chokii for the region.
Taking serious note of abandoning of road work, the DC asked the executive
engineers of PMGSY & PWD to take steps to complete pending work on all the roads strictly as per the sanctioned length
& others components .
The DC gave two day time to
all officers to visit the border areas of Balakote to listen to their issues.
He informed the gathering that 10 bunkers are nearing completions to
lessen their hardships during cross border firing incidents. He
further informed that more bunkers would be taken up in coming days.
He assured that administration would organise series of camps in the
border belt to provide services to the people under PSGA.
