DDC Anantnag Opens Rail Junction on trial basis

          ANANTNAG, NOVEMBER 3: The District Development Commissioner Anantnag, Mohammad Younis Malik today opened Rail Junction at Sursuna Shamsipora Anantnag on newly constructed four lane National Highway bye pass on trial basis. This will help to decongest Bijbehara Town, Khannabal Chowk and Wanpoh point. Now the traffic from Jammu to Srinagar and vice versa will ply on the said road, by-passing Bijbehara and Anantnag towns.

          The vehicles coming from Srinagar can use the new road near Sangam while as the vehicles coming from Jammu can use this road at Wanpoh. This will minimize the traffic jamming from Qazigund to Bijbehara.

          The DDC was accompanied by SDM Bijbehara and officers of Northern Railway & National Highway Authority of India.
