SHOPIAN, NOVEMBER 08: District
Development Commissioner Shopian, Mohammad Aijaz today held an interactive
session with members of media fraternity at Mini Secretariat Arahama.
Maximum number of local journalists working with different media
organizations participated in the meeting.
During
the interaction, the media persons raised different issues including land
identification for setting up a Press Club in the district.
The DDC said that process for identifying suitable land for the press
club will be intensified and assured them that all their demands will be
redressed on priority.
He said that media plays important role in bringing to fore issues
confronting people, besides reformation of society and thanked them for playing
a positive role in this regard. The DDC asked them to highlight various welfare
measures undertaken by the Government for the uplift of weaker and vulnerable
sections of the society.
